Every fire sprinkler system depends on connections that must perform as intended. For twenty years, Profit has focused on improving those connections, as well as making installation easier. Its story began in Belgium in 2006 within a family business supplying couplings and fittings for the fire protection industry. Today, the brand is present in more than 60 countries and supported by an international, technically driven group.
From Distributor to Developer
Direct experience of the challenges faced by installers and distributors has shaped that growth: products must meet demanding standards, be available when a project needs them, supported by clear documentation and knowledgeable service.
This insight led the business beyond distribution and into developing its own engineered products. An in-house R&D department works with quality teams and production partners to design, test and refine solutions for fire protection and HVAC applications.
The Profit product range consists of grooved couplings and fittings for different applications and threaded fittings, complemented by a growing selection of valves, including wet and dry alarm valves, as well as switches, Proflex flexible sprinkler hoses and prefabricated sprinkler pipes. Each product category supports the same objective: to make installation safer, easier and more efficient.
Three European Locations, Complementary Strengths
Profit now brings together three complementary companies. The head office in Erembodegem, Belgium, combines product development, sourcing, stock management and international distribution. Pro Piping Products in Romania specialises in the European production of prefabricated sprinkler pipes and project-specific piping solutions. Matos Plus in France provides local distribution and market knowledge, technical support and close contact with French customers.
Together, they link market feedback with engineering, manufacturing and supply across borders. At the Romanian facility, automated processes, digital planning and dedicated quality control translate project requirements into ready-to-install pipe sections. This reduces preparation and fitting time on site, improving overall efficiency.
Innovation Driven by Field Experience
Profit’s approach to product development starts with real installation needs. The patented Fitpro® fast rigid coupling, for example, is ready for installation and designed to simplify rigid connections in wet and dry sprinkler systems. Corrofit, Profit’s premium corrosion-protection coating, was developed for grooved couplings and fittings used in demanding environments. Digital tools follow the same principle: the Profit On Site app gives professionals direct access to technical drawings, dimensional data, calculations, datasheets, installation instructions and video tutorials, whether they are on site or on the road.
Innovation is supported by quality assurance throughout the supply chain. Profit operates under ISO 9001:2015 certification, and products across the range carry approvals and listings that include FM Approvals, UL, VdS, CNBOP, CNPP, CSTB, KOMO and the Romanian Technical Approval (AT). This combination helps Profit translate installer feedback and changing market requirements into practical, certified products.
Product Availability with Personal Service
Engineering is only one part of the equation. An extensive stock in Europe and a robust multi-source supply chain enable Profit to offer broad product availability and just-in-time deliveries. Customers also receive technical assistance, after-sales service and personal support in more than seven languages.
Although the group has expanded, its original customer focus remains unchanged. Profit’s promise, “fitting your needs”, reflects a commitment to understanding the technical, commercial and logistical context behind each request and to building long-term partnerships rather than one-off transactions.
Advancing Fire Protection Together
Profit sees industry collaboration as an essential part of safer water-based fire protection. Through its membership of fire sprinkler organisations at national, European and international levels, the company follows technical developments, exchanges expertise and contributes to initiatives that strengthen standards and awareness.
Its membership of the International Fire Suppression Alliance extends that collaboration worldwide, connecting Profit with manufacturers, installers, associations and fire safety professionals around the world.
“Fire protection is a shared responsibility. The challenges our industry faces, from certification and product integrity to changing installation needs, cannot be solved by one company or one market alone. IFSA brings together the expertise needed to move the sector forward. As Profit celebrates twenty years, we are proud to share our knowledge in product development, European prefab production and international supply, while continuing to learn from others. Together, we can help make water-based fire protection safer, easier to install and more effective worldwide.”
