Gill merged several regional companies into Industrial Fasteners International, and under his direction the business became a trusted partner to the United Kingdom’s leading manufacturers. That appetite for solving hard engineering problems led, in 1998, into flexible sprinkler pipe connections, and in 2003 to the establishment of Rapidrop Limited. Rapidrop was the first company in the world to achieve LPCB approval as a flexible sprinkler pipe supplier, and that approval set the standard the company has held to ever since.

In 2010 the group became Rapidrop Global Limited, reflecting the international role the business had grown into. Daniel Gill passed away in 2017, and the Gill family has continued to guide the company through its next chapters, retaining a majority stake as the business secured new investment in 2025 to support its next phase of growth. Through every change of name and ownership, one thing has stayed constant. Rapidrop manufactures in Britain, and it manufactures to protect lives.
